Established the Firm


Attorneys Harold F. Lichtsinn and George A. Affeldt join together to establish the firm in downtown Milwaukee as “Affeldt & Lichtsinn”

Atty. George R. Affeldt joins the firm with his father and Harold F. Lichtsinn.

1953

MBA President


Atty. Harold F. Lichtsinn is elected President of the Milwaukee Bar Association.

1963

First Named Female Partner


Atty. Frances M. Ryan is voted in as a named partner and becomes one of the first named female partners in the City of Milwaukee.

1970

Becomes a Service Corporation


The firm becomes a service corporation under the name of “Lichtsinn, Dede, Ryan & Haensel, S.C.”

1980

Firm Elects to Change Name


The firm elects to change its name to “Lichtsinn, Haensel, Bastian & Erchul, S.C.”

1987

Company Name Changed


The firm changes its name to “Lichtsinn, Haensel, Bastian, Erhcul & Crocker, S.C.”

1989

Law Firm Merge


The law firm of “Burke & Schoetz” merges into the firm and the firm decides to be known simply as “Lichtsinn & Haensel, S.C.”

Nearly 90 years after its founding, Lichtsinn & Haensel still proudly serves its clients from downtown Milwaukee. The firm takes pride in serving its clients in a full range of matters with a personal approach true to its founding partners.
